One of my favourite pieces that Taylor Davis plays is the
Downton Abbey Theme. I don't watch the TV show, but I do enjoy listening to the
music from it. There is something refined and dignified about a lot of period
drama soundtracks. This piece feels perfect for a scene where everything is
changing for a character, such as when they learn a shocking piece of news. It
would also be good for a troubled court, or for writing in a historical
setting, hardly surprising considering the show it was composed for. This piece
speaks of elegance and refinement that is sailing through troubled times without
losing its poise.
What sort of writing
do you think this piece suits? Do you enjoy listening to the violin? What music
are you listening to this week?
I love love this piece. It is just perfect!
