Writing Music: Soundfuel

I pretty much always have music playing while I'm on the computer, whether I'm writing, blogging, studying, or just messing around. This means that I’m always looking for new music to listen to so that I have a wide selection to choose from. But sometimes I just don't know what I feel like listening to, especially when I'm writing and I need a little extra help. Sometimes I need some music to fit a certain mood or genre. And it's not always easy to find just the right pieces. Enter Soundfuel, every writer’s best friend.

Soundfuel is a blog about music that caters especially for writers. The blog owner, Leah, who also happens to be one of my writing friends, has created loads of music playlists to suit different moods and occasions, whether you're writing a heart-wrenchingly sad scene, in the middle of an epic battle, or just need motivation. Some playlists have lyrics and some don't, but all the music is worth listening to. There's sure to be something there to suit your situation.

I know I normally post a single piece of music for my Writing Music posts, but Soundfuel is such an amazing resource for all writers, or for anyone who likes to listen to music that I felt that it was well worth sharing today. If you're looking for music to suit a certain mood, or just something new to shake things up, you should definitely check out Soundfuel.

Have you visited Soundfuel yet? Do you have any favourite playlists? What's your favourite place to find new music?

Want more music recommendations? Why not check out my Facebook page? I post music, helpful links and plenty more. I'd love to see you there!

  1. I've never even heard of this! I'll tell Mime about it, because I know she absolutely loves music. The last draft of a book I write I actually finished it completely without listening to ANY songs. Which is a first for me! I don't really think it affected my process but it was weird. Hehe.

    1. Thanks for sharing it. I hope Mime finds it useful. I'm impressed that you managed to write a whole book without music. I like my music way too much to be able to attempt that!
