Writing Music: Kokiri Forest

I always like a happy piece of music. Moody music is perfect for finding the right tone for a scene, but sometimes there seems to be a lack of purely happy music to lift the spirit. Today’s music is another piece from one of my favourite YouTube musicians, Taylor Davis. Kokiri Forest is a light-hearted song that makes me smile.

To me, this piece feels like the beginning of a book, starting with a bang and moving into a happy tune of ordinary life. It could suit the exciting start of an adventure, or a scene where characters are exploring an interesting, non-dangerous place. It could also suit a party or festival set in the country. Overall, it’s light-hearted and charged with an excitement about life.

What are you listening to this week? What is your favourite piece of happy music?

  1. I love your writing music recommendations. They always help :) This one is so happy and cute. Totally not suiting my WIP, but in the future who knows?!

    1. I have so much good music recommended to me by my friends that I feel I need to pass it on. I'm so glad to hear that you find them helpful. It really is a cute song, isn't it? If it doesn't suit now, definitely file it away for another WIP. Or even just a nice happy scene.

  2. The Legend Of Zelda! Well, that's brightened my day!!! >.< (This isn't suiting my WTP either ^^ but I'd listen to it anyway!) Thanks for sharing.

    1. It doesn't suit my WIP at all either really, but it's such a happy piece that I don't really mind. It's just great for brightening the mood. Thanks for stopping to listen!
