Hi there! Welcome to my little corner of the internet. I’m Imogen, a 21 year old Australian writer, musician, and blogger. Writing is my passion. I’ve been writing for nearly 8 years, and while I am still unpublished, I’ve learnt so much, which I want to share with you through this blog. I am lucky enough to come from a family of writers, who completely support me in my quest to become a published author. Last year, I graduated from university with a Bachelor of Professional Writing and Publishing, which has taught me so much about writing, editing, and the publishing industry.

I love to read and write fantasy. It’s filled with magic, dragons, epic quests and amazing worlds. What’s not to like? I’m also a big fan of science fiction, and I have a soft spot for mysteries and thrillers. I have a weakness for NaNoWriMo and haven’t missed one since I first discovered it in 2011. That might explain the 20 or so unpolished novels lying around in the dusty corners of my computer, just waiting to be turned into something that is worthy of being read. As well as writing a lot, I am also an avid reader. What writer isn’t? Give me a book and I can have it finished in a matter of hours. There is nothing better than a few hours spent far away in another world.

Not only do I love reading and writing and make them my career, but I am also a musician. I am a solo soprano and a pianist, and music is a huge part of my life. I make my own music, covering songs on my YouTube channel, as well as listening to it almost all the time. Music is a huge inspiration for my writing, which is what gave me the idea for my Writing Music blog feature. Music and writing just fit together perfectly in my opinion.
