Writing Music: Camp Care Pack19:00
For a lot of writers, April is all about Camp NaNoWriMo. And even if you’re not participating in Camp NaNo, chances are you’re working on some kind of writing project right now. And if there’s one thing good for getting you in the right mood for writing, it’s music. So, in honour of the fact that we’re at the halfway point of the month, and if you’re anything like me you’re probably feeling a bit tired by this point, I’ve chosen three different songs to help you motivate yourself to keep pushing on. We can do this!
For Motivation: Battleborne
There’s nothing that gets me in a more determined mood for writing than a good battle song. This is my go-to song when I need a bit of courage, determination, and the will to not give up (small wonder this is one of my favourite songs to run to). It’s got power, courageous lyrics, and a beat that will have your fingers moving in no time.
For a Good Mood: Pumpin' Blood
Not in a good enough mood for writing yet? This song never fails to bring a smile to my face. It’s so upbeat and such a great reminder that life is good and we should be happy. The fun lyrics, colourful music video and upbeat tune that will have you feeling better in no time.
For A Calm, Focused Writing Mood: Bello Banff
I’m a recent discoverer of hang music, but there’s something about this gorgeous instrument that makes me feel so calm, peaceful, and focused on the task at hand. This is one of my favourite hang pieces I’ve discovered so far. It’s so gentle, but at the same time there’s a sense of forward motion that helps keep you writing. And it’s perfect for listening to on loop if you want a constant background noise.
What’s on your writing playlist at the moment? What music do you listen to when you really need a motivational kick in the pants? What song/s always make you feel better?
