Writing Music: Binks' Sake19:14
I often feature a lot of moody music in my Writing Music posts. I’ve spotlighted everything from sad pieces to war tunes, and tension filled songs. Today however, I’ve chosen a piece from violinist Taylor Davis that is none of these things. While they’re all very beautiful and emotional pieces, sometimes you just need a plain happy piece to make you and your characters feel good, and that’s what I’d like to share with you this week.
Binks’ Sake is a very cheery, light-hearted song. To me, it feels like a calm, happy time before the adventure starts, or an idyllic lifestyle out in the countryside. (Part of it also sounds like the dwarves’ song from Snow White, but that could just be me.) It makes me think of a musician performing in a rustic inn somewhere on the road with a whole bunch of cheery country men drinking beer.
Also, after realising that I have absolutely no information about me on this blog, I have finally made an ‘About Me’ page. Hopefully you’ll know a little more about me after reading it. I’m thinking about making other pages too, but I’m not quite sure which ones to add. So I’m asking you, what pages would you like to see on this blog?
What are you listening to this week? Anyone else here the dwarves’ song in this piece? Have you checked out my new ‘About Me’ yet? What other pages would you like to see on this blog?
